This wine comes from "Aux Vignes Dessus" in the village of Vergisson. The vineyards are located at the top of a south-facing slope. The soil is composed of striped Triassic clay, which gives the wine its body and distinct minerality, characteristic of the Vergisson terroir.

The grapes are all hand-picked, fermented directly in French oak barrels, and then aged on the lees for 11 months (malolactic fermentation).

The aroma is rich with notes of ripe fruit, particularly stone fruit and tropical nuances. The palate is rich and powerful, with a silky texture, yet also characterized by a clean, firm minerality that reflects the clay soil unique to the vineyard. The wine combines power and freshness, resulting in a soft and persistent wine.

Serve at 10-12°C. Ready to drink within 2-4 years, but a short bottle ageing period will develop more complex flavours.

It pairs well with turbot in hollandaise sauce, chicken with mushrooms and rich, mature cheeses.
