We made a paste (sesame paste) from nutritious white sesame seeds.
Compared to Tunisian sesame seeds (see the second photo),
the color is slightly whiter and the paste is homogeneous, and it is smooth.
Let's make tahina sauce♪>
1/2 cup tahina
1-2 tablespoons lemon juice
A little salt
Optional:
A little grated garlic
Chopped parsley
A little cumin
Mix the ingredients together with a whisk.
Check the taste, and if it is too thick, add water to adjust.
It goes very well with grilled meat, fish, fried foods, and vegetable sticks,
with its refreshing taste♪
In the Middle East, especially Egypt, this sauce is indispensable for both everyday cooking and entertaining.
