Aged for 12 to 14 months in 400 liter oak barrels with high quality lees.
This white wine has a well-balanced blend of minerality and saltiness, and a clear, long-lasting taste. Its color is golden to greenish gold, and its aroma is iodine and floral, with notes of citrus and white peach intertwined with nuances of acacia and hawthorn flowers.
It pairs well with shellfish, grilled or raw fish, but also with creamed fish and goat or sheep cheese.
Chenin Blanc, also known as Pinot de la Loire (Pinot), is a grape variety that is representative of the Loire Valley and is blessed with the tuffaceous soil and climate of the Loire Valley.
All grapes are hand-picked, and no pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers are used in the cultivation of the grapes. The producer, Jean-Bernard Mette, is also active as a sculptor.
