La Côte Rôtie's vineyards are located in Davayé, where the limestone terroir gives the wine a distinctive minerality. The Chardonnay grapes are hand-harvested and meticulously vinified to preserve their natural flavor. Fermentation and aging take place in a temperature-controlled environment, with fine lees for 11 months, developing complex flavors and aromas.
The wine exhibits rich aromas of yellow fruits such as peach and apricot, complemented by subtle floral and mineral notes. The palate is rich and juicy, with ripe fruit flavors and refreshing acidity, resulting in a lively finish.
This wine pairs beautifully with seafood dishes such as oysters and grilled fish, poultry dishes such as roast chicken and turkey, and creamy cheeses.
This family-run wine estate is located in the picturesque hilltop village of Vergisson in southern Burgundy. The vineyards, which cover 7.5 hectares, primarily produce white wines such as Pouilly-Fuissé and Saint-Véran. Domaine Morat is certified organic and follows natural and environmentally friendly methods. The soil is cultivated throughout, with a focus on manual work and the grapes are hand-harvested.
