This is a very thin, short pasta.
In Tunisia, it is used as a soup pasta.
In Egypt, it is used in rice dishes such as "Koshari" and "Sha'riya."

Ingredients (Serves 2-3)
2 cups rice
1/2 cup angel hair vermicelli
2 1/2 cups water
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
A pinch of salt
Directions
1. Wash the rice and drain.
2. Fry the vermicelli in butter and oil until golden brown.
3. Add the rice to the rice and lightly fry until evenly coated with oil.
4. Place step 3 in a rice cooker, add water, and cook as usual.
It also makes a perfect side dish for meat or fish dishes.
