This cuvée is produced only 3 to 5 times every 10 years and is aged for 48 to 62 months in 400-liter oak barrels on the finest lees.
This dry, soft Chenin Blanc is characterised by a powerful wine flavour. It has a long, lingering finish. Its golden colour with coppery highlights and aromas of roasted quince and fresh walnuts, complemented by hints of buttery baked apple and caramel.
Chenin Blanc, also known as Pinot de la Loire (Pinot), is a grape variety that is representative of the Loire Valley and is blessed with the tuffaceous soil and climate of the Loire Valley.
All grapes are hand-picked, and no pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers are used in the cultivation of the grapes. The producer, Jean-Bernard Mette, is also active as a sculptor.
