Aged for 24 months in 400 litre oak barrels with fine lees.
This dry Chenin Blanc is full-bodied and silky. Its golden color and aroma of quince and yellow peach are complemented by notes of brioche and dried apricot. The palate is salty, mineral, and long-lasting.
It pairs particularly well with white meats such as veal or roasted chicken, mushrooms, spaghetti alle vongole, fish dishes, and goat or sheep cheeses.
Chenin Blanc, also known as Pinot de la Loire (Pinot), is a grape variety that is representative of the Loire Valley and is blessed with the tuffaceous soil and climate of the Loire Valley.
All grapes are hand-picked, and no pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers are used in the cultivation of the grapes. The producer, Jean-Bernard Mette, is also active as a sculptor.
