What catches the eye is the cute, pop-style label design featuring Madame.
The previous producer, Madame Germaine, lost her glasses during the harvest and was very upset.
If she were alive today, she might be wearing these stylish glasses and enjoying the harvest merrily.
This bottle makes both a great gift and a conversation starter.
The clay-limestone soil, interspersed with pebbles, provides excellent drainage and temperature regulation. This wine is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, from 20-40 year-old vines.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks, the wine is macerated for 18 days to optimize tannin extraction. It is then aged in stainless steel tanks.
This ruby-red wine offers aromas of black cherry, raspberry, and red currant, with hints of green pepper and licorice.
With supple tannins and moderate acidity, it offers a rich, balanced flavor with red fruit, fresh herbs, and a hint of vanilla.
This wine pairs well with grilled white meat, pasta with tomato sauce, roasted vegetables, and soft cheeses.
Best served at 16-18°C.
