This vineyard produces a very consistent selection of grapes only 2-3 times every 10 years, and the wine is aged on the finest lees for 6 months in 600 litre oak barrels and then for a further 6 months in tank.

The vibrant, fine bubbles offer aromas of clove, raspberry, blackcurrant, redcurrant, rose, hibiscus and a hint of pepper. The fresh, fruity taste is reminiscent of a bouquet of fresh red fruit aromas.

It pairs perfectly with tagines, dishes with sweet chili peppers and caramelized beets, or dishes in sabayon sauce with sweet or savory ingredients.

Pineau d'Aunis is the Loire region's signature red wine grape.

All grapes are hand-picked, and no pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers are used in the cultivation of the grapes. The producer, Jean-Bernard Mette, is also active as a sculptor.
